"Wege ins Theater!" ("Ways to the Theatre!") is a programme by the International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People (ASSITEJ) in association with the German federal programme ?Kultur macht stark? ("Culture makes us strong"). It supports projects that make theatre more accessible to young people. The fact that many children are confronted with educational barriers poses one of the main challenges that local organisations face in their daily work: How can we approach and invite these children, young people and, where necessary, their parents? Which artistic formats would be of interest to this target group, and what kind of participatory offers should be considered? Each year, the support programme "Wege ins Theater!" hosts a national reflection event for participants from local organisations. The key aim of the event is to enable participants to exchange experiences and challenges they have encountered in practice, address common themes and discuss relevant issues
